Dos and don'ts
To help you make the best out of the Speaking club lessons, check out the dos and donts list below đ:

| Take some notes and write down some key words. | Write down long and complicated sentences. | 
| Look up the keywords and expressions in (online) dictionaries (e.g. Wordreference). | Translate everything on Google Translate, Chat Gpt or similar websites. | 
| Use the grammar points you already know or youâre learning at the moment. | Try to use complicated grammar points that you havenât learnt yet. | 
| Stick to the main topic of the lesson during the Break out room sessions. | Spend too much time making small talk (e.g. about the weather). | 
| Ask your classmates questions during the Break out room sessions. | Dominate the conversation. Instead, let your classmates talk too and respond to what they say. | 
| Do find a comfortable place with a stable internet connection. | Donât participate whilst driving â your safety is important to us. | 
| Enjoy getting to know classmates from different cultures and walks of life. | Make jokes or comments that could risk offending other cultures or communities. | 
| Go over the lesson notes after the session: itâll help you remember what youâve learnt! | Forget to go over the lesson notes! đ | 
| Arrive on time. The teachers will end the session if no one joins within the first 10 minutes. |
